    Bound for Thanksgiving Day parade

Fund-raisers planned to help sponsor dancers to perform in famed parade

    Wednesday, July 16, 2008 2:05 PM PDT

Love2Dance in Novato is holding a fund-raiser Thursday evening at Chevy’s restaurant in Vintage Oaks Shopping Center to raise funds to help dance team members who will be dancing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.

Members of the Love2Dance All Stars dance team will dance with the 600-strong Mike Miller Dance Team, said Tara Caprice Broadwater, owner of Love2Dance.

“We are a competitive dance team and compete in regional and one national competition per year,” she said. “Because we ranked so high we were offered the invitation to dance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.”

Love2Dance teachers and staff will be at the restaurant  at 7 p.m.  Supporters may eat in the restaurant anytime Thursday evening. By mentioning Love2Dance, 25 percent  of the proceeds will go to the New York Fund.

Monthly dance party fund-raisers are open to dancers ages 4 and above.  Parties are held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the studio and offer a fun and safe location for kids while parents enjoy an evening alone. Dancers learn moves, enjoy arts and crafts and enjoy pizza with Tara and the Love2Dance Senior All-Stars.  The fee is $30 per child, payable at the door.  Call (415) 898-3933.
